Not to be confused with 2PAC (although both are pretty stellar). Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (say what?!). Some of the cool kids call this the "afterburn."
In English that means your body increases its consumption of oxygen following a workout. Your body is playing catch up from the energy expenditure of your workout. It's still burning calories well after your session. Often times you will have feelings of euphoria during this period that have a positive affect on on the body and mind. This can occur for as long as 24 hours following a workout. So, the next time you're sucking wind after a Change for 10 advanced workout, remember, you're burning calories the rest of the day. Be proud of yourself!
